What
is coaching? A partnership created
to help you fulfill your innermost goals and dreams probing,
guiding, clarifying, encouraging, pushing (once in awhile it's necessary!),
identifying and overcoming obstacles, plus lots of laughing! It
is helping you to be more of who you truly are by tapping into your
passions, potential and brilliance.
What
are the benefits to you?
A more satisfying life! Taking action steps where you normally might
not have on your own. People have said, "I could do this on
my own." You could, but the question is will you? And have
you before? Most of us could coach ourselves, but the fact is we
don't, and if we do, it is not objective, which is a big part of
the equation. Hiring a coach is a commitment to create a better
life for yourself. A coach will keep you accountable to your goals.
A coach will also help you identify what's working in your life
and help you seek out ways to make it work even better. A coach
often sees things that you are unable to see.
Why
hire a coach?
Just as a football player or triathlete performs best with a coach,
so do the rest of us. A coach provides a structured way to reach
your personal and professional goals. Having a coach to encourage
and inspire you is a wonderful gift.

What's
the process?
For individual coaching, meetings occur over the phone 4 times/month,
but this all depends on the package you choose. Before and after
each session, you complete a form that prompts you with questions
and tracks your progress.
What
do clients get from working with Revel?
Inspiration, clarity, hope, action steps, encouragement, dedication,
humor, results, experience.
Why
should you believe us?
Because Karen makes her dreams come true. Determined and driven,
she achieves what she sets out to do. We invite you to read the
testimonials section and believe our clients.

How
is Karen different from other coaches?
Karen spent several years leading Human Resources efforts in the
corporate world. She is obsessed with client service and takes great
care of the people with whom she connects. People have described
her as "a bright light", "direct" "approachable",
"fun".
How
did Karen decide to pursue coaching?
She was first introduced to coaching in 1998 at a job fair in San
Francisco. Karen saw a big sign that said, "Dream Job Coaching"
and thought, "I want to do that!" Karen took advantage
of Joel Garfinkle's complimentary session and in 1999, he became
the champion who made her realize that coaching is her calling.
She always knew that she loved helping others succeed, but never
did she think she could get paid for it. Karen founded Revel in
the spring of 2002.
Why
the name "Revel"?
It was important for Karen to choose a name that totally reflected
her in her business. While flipping through an inspirational booklet
in downtown San Francisco, there it was revel what
a great word! Upon looking it up in the dictionary, she knew that
was it. Not only does it mean "to take great satifaction or
delight", which is Karen's philosophy in life, but the noun
means "a party or celebration" what a great dual
meaning!
